Today, museums are changing to include communities
from which their objects originate in their decision making processes. Conservators
can include these communities by recognizing an object’s biography when
conserving it. This poster illustrates this possibility by showing how conservators at the
Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde (RMV) Leiden, Netherlands worked together with the
Māori community.
