How does metal detecting affect the conservation of archaeological objects?

Abstract: This posters’ aim is to explain the damage metal detectoring can cause on archaeological objects, the laws that regulate this practice. And, finally, given the role of conservation in preserving the objects, how beneficial it would be for objects that conservators had a bigger part on the process of recovery of the objects given the current legislation, and the possible changes it may experience in the future.

Target Audience: The poster's target audience is a public familiarised with archaeology and/or conservation, but not necessarily with any or every aspect of this matter.
