Abstract: How can
conservators and Museums conserve and preserve both tangible and intangible
features and values associated with “sacred” objects owned by a
(religious/ ethnic) community? What solutions would be the most suitable to
succeed?
This
poster aims to answer this perpetual dilemma by showing how the museum, the
conservator and the community interfere together with sacred objects, in order
to conserve their values and preserve their sustainability and integrity.
Targeted Audience:
The poster is designed for conservators, museums and communities, all anxious to develop
and improve the ethical approach dealing with the conservation of “sacred”
objects.
