This object is a Pakistani National Doll measuring 300mm in height and 10mm in width. A myriad of materials were used including wood, paint, glass, vinyl, acrylic, gaffer tape, ink, adhesives, stiffeners and a range of threads and textiles varying in colour and tightness. The majority of textiles are likely organic, potentially cotton, which could be confirmed with a burn test. It is comprised of three main elements: the body, the costume and the base. Considering the complexity in manufacture, technologies are unique to the relative elements. Broadly, this was an additive process where the body was constructed from a likely wire support shaped with batting and cloth, overlain with the costume (manufactured separately) and adhered to the base.
